This print features a scene from the Middle English alliterative masterpiece Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Here, after Gawain has responded to the challenge of cutting off the Green Knight's head, he is shocked to see the knight pick up his head again and start speaking!
The print is hand printed on 250 gsm Somerset Velvet Paper on a 19th Century Albion Press in 3 colours, printed from 4 different plates and signed and edition by the artist. Printed area: 12" x 12"; paper size approx twice as much again.
