Stonehenge when seen from the A303 is one of the most evocative sights anyone can see when travelling across Britain; it has been visible from this road for centuries as a beacon to travellers heading west or east.
The third in my series of images of Stonehenge taken from the same plates, this linocut print is printed from three separate blocks, red, crimson and yellow to create a more moody feel to the composition.
Only one available, hand printed on a Victorian Albion Press in Cambridgeshire, UK. Signed and editioned by the artist and printed on 250 gsm Somerset Velvet Paper. The coloured part of the image measures approximately 12 x 6 inches (30 x 15cm).
